Asheville Weekend

Mr brother and I ventured to Asheville, NC this weekend for a craft show to support the local fire department as well as some good times with friends.

I love our visits to Asheville. It is a very booming artsy city with a lot to offer.

The craft show wasn't all that successful for me, but the fire department was able to raise some money and fire awareness so all in all it was good fun.

After the show was over, we had some time to explore before heading home. My brother found this brightly colored wall filled with graffiti so we decided to take some pictures.

I love how these pictures came out. I love all the colors.

Weekend Adventures

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. My Luckyroni goods spent the weekend at Handmade Summer in downtown Knoxville. What a great event! I can't wait for the next one. :)

Saturday evening was spent listening to the awesome sounds of the Kevin Abernathy band which I have to say is pretty much my favorite local band. They rock!

Sunday, after breaking down my goods at the close of the Handmade Summer trunk show, I went on a tiny photographic adventure through downtown Knoxville. I love the vibe and history there.

This was taken from the top of the Market Square Parking Garage.

This week I hope to work on some new creations as well as taking some better pictures for my etsy shop.

I also want to finish this adorable dress that I am crocheting for my friend's little bun in the oven...

The Big Crafty Trip!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of going to Asheville, NC to participate in the Big Crafty Show. It was a blast.

The ride to North Carolina is very scenic. The time flies by because there is so much beautiful scenery to look at.

When you get closer to the Asheville area, there are all these beautful flowers on the side of the road. I was trying to get a better picture, but its hard to get while riding down the interstate.

Almost there!....

On the way to our hotel, we passed this sign. I am glad we didn't stay there (although our hotel didn't look too much nicer).

Once arriving to the hotel, I realized that I had forgotten my table clothes ... and all of the wrist warmers I had made. What a bummer! I made a quick stop at Wal-mart and was able to pick up the table cloths, but the wrist warmers will just have to wait until the next show.

Here are some pics from the actual event. It was held in Downtown Asheville, NC at Pack Place.

I forgot to take a picture of my booth until I started breaking down at the end of the day. So here is what my booth looked like when everything was over... (sorry for the blurriness...)

Here are a few random snapshots of downtown Asheville.

The weekend was so much fun. I didn't have much time to "explore" Asheville as I was crafting all weekend, but we will be going back very soon for a visit.

This weekend (7/17-7/19) Luckyroni will be at the Handmade Summer Trunk Show located at 409 Gay Street in downtown Knoxville along with 20 other Knoxville area artists. There is still time to come on down and check it out!

Pretty Holly

I took my dog, Holly, to the vet today. She was having difficulty walking, especially going up the stairs. She was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia and is scheduled for surgery next week. I'm very nervous about it.

Please say a prayer for her.

Stay tuned later this week for a summary of the Big Crafty that I attended this past weekend as well as many many new items!

UPDATE: We have decided to try some alternative treatment before going through with the surgery as it is pretty gnarly. Holly is doing better right now and I hope she stays that way!

Sneaky Peaky Part Deux

Hope everyone had a blast on the Fourth of July. I bar-b-q'd with friends and saw some fireworks. It was an all American fun day.

Here is another sneak peek of some new products I will be introducing this weekend at the Big Crafty show. They will also be making a debut in my etsy shop soon...

In other news...I learned that September 29th of this year is going to be a spectacular day. Why? Well...because I will be in Atlanta visiting my best friend Heather,
seeing Fall Out Boy in concert (for the 2nd time this year),

and the new Paramore CD will be released! It doesn't get much better than that, kids!

Until we meet again...........

New Stationery Added to the Shop!

I added two new stationery designs to the shop.

The first is a bright, colorful, and modern take on the downtown Knoxville, Tennessee skyline.

The second design is perfect for any designer, artist, or crafter. It is creative and colorful stationery that simply states "icreate." This stationery can also be used for correspondence from your creative business.

Each stationery set includes 10 sheets of paper and 5 matching envelopes and is professionally packaged in plastic for safe keeping.

I am currently working on introducing other products featuring these designs. Stay tuned!
